mountains, San Bernardino co., CA TION R4E sec 10 nw'ly
elev. 1320 m
I found an adult & lizard in a pitfall
trap at the edge of a rockpile and at the
base of a yucca. Mouth of the canyon is
sandy/loamy with rocky wash channels and
rockpiles throughout. Vegetation is creosote bush,
yucca, chollas, + other shrubs & cacti. Also
Acacia gregii.
Lizard is overall golden brown with a brick
red head, fading at the base of the skull.
SVL 9.3 cm TL 20.1 cm w/ regenerated tail.
