Western whiptail
(Cnemidophorus tigris)
6 April Road from Kelso to Cornfield Spring Canyon,
Providence Mountains, San Bernardino County, CA.
T11N R13E sec 3 W'1/2.
Bruce Wagg and I found a juvenile
whiptail along the side of the rocky road into
the canyon. Bruce noosed it. Creosote bush
& yucca on flat, rocky ground.
SVL 5.7cm total length 21.2cm. Overall,
orange-brown with stripes and spots between stripes.

T11N R13E sec 11 SE'1/4.
Bruce found an adult lizard near the
dirt road in wash on hard soil. Creosote
bushes sparsely spread throughout wash.
