Banded Gecko

Approx 2/10 mi. south of Kelso, San
Bernadino co., CA. T11N R12 E (no sec#) elev. 650m.
Bruce found a juvenile lizard under
the second sheet of a three sheet stack
of old corrugated tin near an old fallen
shack near beginning of road to Cornfield
spring canyon. Approx [illegible] 1100 PST. Sandy
Creosote desert.
S.V. length 4.6 cm; total length 9.1 cm. Distinct
crossbands, no spots or light bands. ♂. Catalog #9

Hwy 66 and Kelbaker Road south of Hwy
40, San Bernadino co., CA.
Bruce and I have seen several
geckos on the pavement at night in this
area. Habitat ranges from barren creosote on
rocky soil to Creosote scrub on both rocky
and sandy soil.
