Springs and canyons northeast of Foshay Pass,
Providence Mountains, San Bernardino Co., CA.
Left this morning at about 0800 PST
heading for Foshay Pass. Bruce stayed
back at Dorners camp because he didn't
want to hike to Blind Spring, so I went
without him.
On my way down Kelbaker Road
I saw a man in a railroad or highway
or something maintenance truck stop to
put a desert tortoise off of the roadway
near the pipeline substation. I slowed
down and waved and said hello since
he was actually watching out for the
tortoise instead of hurrying by without
case.
From Vulcan Mine & drone to the
pipeline road and then over around
the first steep hill and over Foshay Pass.
I stopped at the four wheel drive road
east of Foshay Spring and followed the road
or fast up to the Blind Spring canyon. On
the way up I went past Blind Spring before
I knew it so I hiked over to the second
canyon west of Blind Spring and then went
contd.
