19 May
Granite Mountains to Barstow and back,
Sun Bernardino co., CA.
Bruce and I went to Barstow
for excitement. I wonder what's becoming
of my social life when I think Barstow
could be exciting.
We did the usual routine: buy camera
film at the mall, tacky postcards at the
Barstow station, do laundry, eat pizza
(for lunch this time) while we write the
tacky postcards to send them to friends back at
Santa Cruz, and buy groceries. Not as
much excitement as I had hoped, but
I knew that would be the case. At least
I still have hope and that is somewhat
comforting.
Anyway, we made it back to the
Granites by sunset and relaxed and
read all the newspapers during the night.
