Stayed in this morning due to storm
front. Outside it has been raining

0730 PST). It's also raining throughout
the Kelso valley and over the Providence
Mountains; this appears to be a large
storm front rather than localized thunder
showers. The air temp. now (1130 PST)
is 17°C.
Nick Waser and Mary Price arrived last
night; they went out with Phillippe this morning
to look at the burn area on the ridge
north of Dorner's Camp. They're very friendly
people and I think they're going to stay for

to study plant regression.
At about 1530 PST Bruce and I went
