Dorners Camp, Granite Mountains, San
Bernadino county, CA.
0830 PST. Philippe Cohen, the Granite
Mountains Reserve Manager, showed up to
welcome us and explain how the utilities
and water system work.
Outside its mostly sunny with slight
wind and ~ 25% cloud cover
1216 PST. ~20°c in shade, ~26° in sunshine;
cloud cover is increasing. I notice that the
yucca trees are flowering as are many very
small purple annuals that are growing very low
on the ground. Sparse grasses around the cabin
are green and growing. I can hear the
buzz of bees and flies flying around from
bush to bush.
