Child 1963 Pluvialis dominica 1 July Wainwright, Alaska Only one pair in the area 5 July Barrow, Alaska These birds seem to be less abundant this year than formerly. 12 July Bernard River, Banks Island, NWT, Canada Uncommon. One has at least one nest located. 17 July Barrow, Alaska Nest at SE Corn of North Line Plot. First egg started to pip at 1100. It was a little farther advanced at 1900. 2nd egg started at 0100 18 July and 1st egg chick ¾ cont. 18 July 0800 First chick completely out. 1130 2nd out and 3rd egg cracked open. One egg shell still in nest. Young still in nest. 31 July Pentwasser River, Cape Sabine, Alaska adults & flying gang behind camp. Not abundant here
