Childs 1958 Pluvialis dominica 30 May Patnagea River, Cape Sabine, Alaska a few seen that were relatively quiet. 31 May The few seen were very quiet. Flushed one bird that gave intense distraction display. Undoubtedly nesting. 7 June Found 2 nests w/4 today. 26 June First young seen today. 3 July Patnagea River, 16 miles SE Cape Sabine, Alaska The commonest and most apparent shorebird, it is present on every bush, dry spot. 13 July Full grown young seen. 18 July Patnagea River, 7mi SE Cape Sabine, Alaska a few seen 22 July 5 young in a flock of 6 seen 29 July Patnagea River, Cape Sabine, Alaska only an occasional bird heard. 9 Aug Flock of 8 moved to the west.
