Maler reported numbers of this species in May
5 July
I was shown a nest located by Maler earlier which
had 4 sitting close on 8 eggs. She had to be moved
off the nest. She puffed up + hissed and gave a cat-
like call. Yesterday she flew up into Bill's face.
21 July Meade River Coal Mine, Alaska
Flushed a pair with chicks. Identified by
voice
