20 July Patuxent River, 7mi SE Cape Sabrina, Alaska
Pete shot a of a pair which dove on the
north of camp along creek. Not seen.
21 July Pete got another to pair with 3 young,
one of which fledged when he destroyed it.
25 July The 3 young left the nest when I climbed to
it. 2 could fly fairly well, but third landed
in the river and refused to work out so Pete
carried him ashore
