E.V. Miller 1940 Tadarida mexicana March 19 2450' ± Cooker's Well, 4½ mi. S Marathon, Brewster Co., Texas. Caught one specimen and S.B. Benson another, about 9 or 10 PM, by stringing fishline several times across a pool about 15 yds. in diameter. The well is on a plain 2 mile or 2 from the Dead Horse Mountains. March 31 2400 ± ft. Rancho Rodeo, 7.3 mi. S Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon. Shot two T. mexicana, 1♂, 1♀, after sunset. These bats were flying with Pipistrelles over a wheat field, near trees, in the valley of a large canyon. Soon after sunset they appeared and as the light grew dimmer flew close to the ground, 50 to 70 ft. high at first and then 5 to 20 ft. high. April 11 Charco Escardito, 20 ± mi. S Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Shot a ♂ or ♀ of this species near a pond.
