Perognathus veloxii
April 14 36 mi. ESE of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Took one
immature ♀ (no embryos) in trap baited with oatmeal
and birdseed, and set on rocky ground covered with
a medium thick growth of thorny brush about 8 ft. in
height. Country mostly flat with a few low hills.
May 13 1900 m. 9 mi. N Encarnacion de Diaz, Jalisco.
Took 4 ♀ of this species along edge of an old corn field.
Small rocks present in the soil. Brush and small
trees and dried grass present at edge of field -
May 16 1900 m. 1 mi. N Chicalote, Aguascalientes.
Took 3 ♂, 3 ♀ (one with 4 embryos) in traps set
along a low bank near nopel cactus, low brush,
and small trees.
May 19 2 mi. NW San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi.
Took one male along the sandy bank of a dry gulch,
near brush and grass.
May 20 1 mi. W Hacienda la Parada, 20 mi. NW San Luis
Potosi, San Luis Potosi. Took 4 ♂, 4 ♀ of this
species in traps set on rocky soil, low hills
covered with brush and cacti to medium thickness.
May 23 Potrero Santa Ana, ni. 5 Matehuala, San Luis Potosi.
Took 2 ♂, 1 ♀ (no embryos) of this species in traps set
along the edge of an old corn field lined with mesquite
brush. Soil muddy from rain, slightly sandy.
