E.V. Miller 1940 Peromyscus maniculatus May 7 10,000 ft. 15 mi. SW Toluca, Mexico. Took 7♂, 5♀ in mouse traps baited with oatmeal. One female had 5 embryos. There were caught near brush (Baccharis sp.) -- along a small creek - El Rio San Juan. May 13 1900 m. 9 mi. N Cucarnacion de Diaz, Jalisco. Took 6♀ and 4♂ along the edge of an old corn field, near small trees and brush. May 19 2 mi. NW San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi. Took 2 ♀s of this species in a field of Maguey plants. Soil sandy and light gray-brown color. One had 2 embryos and the other 4. June 9 Head of Cuddy Valley, near Mt. Pinos, Ventura Co., California. Took 8 of this species in live traps set among sagebrush.
