Geomys sp.
May 27 3 mi. N Lulu, Zacatecas Took two immature males in traps set in the tunnels. Old gopher mounds are very numerous here but new ones scarce. The soil is a little sandy, and soft. Mesquite, creosote brush, other brush, cacti, weeds, and grass are abundant here. I saw where some animal had apparently been digging after a gopher. Coyotes and dogs are present.
