E.V. Miller 1940 Dipodomys spectabilis May 26 3 mix. N Culu, Zacatecas Took one ♀ (an embryo) in a traps set on rocky ground near mesquite, creosote brush, [illegible] other brush, and cacti. Ground partly covered with small weeds and grass. Country here is a wide flat valley between desert mountains. Spectabilis mounds are very numerous, and are most frequently built under mesquite bushes. Dipodomys ordii and Dipodomys merriami are also present.
