Delgadillo. Took one immature female. We had much difficulty in telling the fresh from old mounds at night and also our traps were too small for this species. Adults that S.B. Benson and M. Delgadillo took weighed up to 600 grams. The burrows were very numerous in this region and the gophers could be seen working in the daytime. The burrows were 3 to 4 inches in diameter.
