E.V. Miller 1940 Citellus spilosoma May 30 9 mi. N la Ventura, Coahuila. Collected a male along the road. Country was a prairie with short grass and weeds, fine fairly soft soil, and a few small bushes. This squirrel, like others of his kind, was seen running over the ground. We stopped the car about 40 ft. from him. When shot he was perched on the edge of the hole of a Cynomys mexicanus.
