May 17, Russian Gulch State Park, Mendocino Co., Calif.
elev. 40 ft.
Out of 31 traps set there were 18 catches.
one of these was a Sorex vagrans.
The habitat was marginal Riparian.
Dominant plants included: Salmon
berry, Thimbleberry, Huckleberry, Blackberry,
and Bluefoot. The animal seemed
to be an adult female without embryos.
May 18, 26 traps were set out in a Riparian-Marginal
habitat.
