June 15, 1938 Besides animals listed in catalog caught 3 Peromyscus., 1 male, 2 females. Put catch
in bag and went down to Marks Creek (6 mi. E and 3 mi.

copepods in the drag so saved it even though it
was very muddy. Two steel traps were sprung,
had yellow hair in jaws. At one burrow fleas
were thick, no fresh droppings. Need heavier traps.
Heard hummingbird singing but couldn't locate
it. Skinned until 5:00 P.M. I took heavier traps
down to marmots. Had caught one Callospermophile
