From Walnut Cr. drove to Moraga - many much good habitat along stream flowing N/E from St. Mary's res. Have looked for birds here before (1940) found none - vagaries of overflow from reservoir. At St. Mary's reservoir found may ss. at stream entrance in extensive typha & Comus growth. Measured typha - streams av. 3-4
