Marshall, 1947 Melo-piza Collections, Sept Oct '47 Corte Madera, Marin Co, Calif. (see Tamalpais quadrangle) These specimens were supposed to represent fresh-water habitat and were taken in patch of pure typha & patch of blackberry 2 yds from it - 8 or 10 lds in vicinity - Actually, however, the Typha is growing in the head of a slough which connects with the salt marsh, and 50 yards from here you get sparrows in Distichlis & little patches of Scirpus campestris along the same slough. So it looks like another spot where is continuity between the 2 habitats. 3784 coll here 3785 3828 Corte Madera Creek SF Bay 140. Green Valley Creek, Cordelia, Solano Co, Calif.
