These specimens were
supposed to represent
fresh-water habitat
and were taken in patch of pure typha & patch
of blackberry 2 yds from it - 8 or 10 lds in
vicinity - Actually, however, the Typha is growing
in the head of a slough which connects with
the salt marsh, and 50 yards from here you
get sparrows in Distichlis & little patches
of Scirpus campestris along the same slough.
So it looks like another spot where
is continuity between the 2 habitats.
