Sonoma Creek ½ mi S. Highway 37 Bridge, 3644-3653 all within 5 yds of river's edge Sonoma Co., Calif. C Spartina Salt marsh N. Sonoma Creek, 1¼ mi NW Wingo, 3654-3658 all within 10 yds of slough D Scirpus calif. Sonoma Creek salt marsh Wargo, Sonoma Co., Calif. 3659-3668 all within area 40-15 yds north of S. canpestus on S. bank, yellow-throated, marsh wrens A 3669-3678 all within 25-yds of river bank. Sonoma Creek 5/8 mi N Highway 37 Bridge Sonoma Co., Calif. No running water. Tall trees, lamal etc. Bds very scarce. Many big pools. Saw 3 bds in .3 mi. Then came to a wide place about 100 yd X 50yds which was very open, & had lots young Salix & 6' high Polygonum acre & some Typha. Much clear water in stream bed. Were at least 20 birds here, also some finchins. Was constant activity calling some singing even tho windy.
