This represents a continuous population for 9 miles. From the 1st willow upstream, is only single column of pairs N of Alviso, spreads out in vast marshes.
Bay shore mouth Alviso Slough
3737-3746 Very abundant but only in grindelea along little natural sloughs. Spartina grows in the sloughs. Salicornia on flats between them but is very low with jammer, Frankenia looks like marshes in LA Co. very low as not in clumps. Looks like it is overrun by tides.

Salicornia-grindelea-Spartina.
Savannah Sparrows too. Birds rather well spaced. about 24 in area shown.
I rowed all along this slough from Alviso to the bay & found continuous growth of tall Spartina all the way with center population of sparrows, at arrow,
saw one fly across the slough.

Stream tidal here and limited by artificial banks, but veg is all pure fresh water: mostly low willow & blackberry. Single column of pairs. Only about 15-20 birds in this 900 yds.

Probably 15-20 birds. Took 10 birds in 4/6 hrs more 600 yds. standing fresh water.
Can be no more than single line of pairs. High artificial banks narrow the habitat but is good growth open willows, typha, blackberry Box Elder, Alders, Rose.
