I wanted to look at this marsh between highway & bay shore because it looked like natural veg. Actually, it turned out all to be drained, branks having been built along the ss bank of Hastings Creek & along the shore of Suisun Bay. :. the ground was rather dry (except for some standing water) I had no tidal sloughs at all. It's growth was everythin' I have ever seen in marshy + many new weeds, but the general growth was either or too dry and or too shallow for song Sparrows. Prominent plants on this
