We had been camping in an old cow shed in pasture. The trapping & shooting had all been done near a tule marsh of about two acres & about 300 yards from camp. I have never seen the birds so thick as were the song sparrows in this limited area.
We spent the night above Walnut Creek setting out a line of traps each."
