Marshall 1947 Melospiza July? Dickey Coll. insillula Howell's notes Palo Alto Sept 30 - Oct 1 1916 Camped 1 mi E of town & 1/2 mi from extensive bay marshes. Got the SS in the marsh in Tules. incl 1 which he calls: "santacernis" which may #6528 have been taken in "willows in a little depression near the house." Some of the others may have been from willows too. santacernis Palo Alto Howell's notes #6528 Portola San Mateo Co "" Sept 26, 1915 probably should be 1916 with rest from Palo Alto. Fresh-water stream in canyon - (not near salt marsh) Portola Huey's notes Nov 24-28 1917 Canyon where camped same as Huey & Howell in 1916. Up canyon is sm. reservoir with Tules where get all the Song Sparrows: E 625 E 642-645 E 653 Sammeli's Huey's notes Oct 18, 19, 1917 Petaluma Camped about 2 1/2 mi South of town near the salt marsh.
