overrun with song sparrows. Again many
of the Sparrows look like intergrades--darn!

Alvarado Howell got 12, Lawrence 16 Camped in
Alvarado Basin near town - they went out on the
Alvarado marsh near the salt works to hunt -
many tule areas. Noted many dykes &
little place to hunt except a patch of weeds
& a patch of tules.
