April 20 Woolsey Canyon, NE side U.C. Campus, Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif.
Two seen at head of S branch of creek 50 yds N campus boundary by Czelstron. 1st were in Buckeye at head of creek, ♂ singing. One foraged on bare ground of trail - seemed to walk one ft at a time. ♂ sang from series of perches: the buckeye, top of acacia on campus boundary, fence post near acacia (flew to gnd & foraged in short dry grass, some hopping, some walking, picked up food with bill, didn't scratch), various Baccharis bushes, willows 30 yds downstream from buckeye, etc. gave
