Oct. 8, 1933. 153 154 Audubon Warbler spoiled not saved wt: 12 grms. ✓ 155 Eutamias ♂ 250-110-35-21 wt: 73 -4300 ft. ✓ 156 Eutamias ♀ 235-115-35-22 wt: 66 -4300 ft. ✓ 157 Eutamias ♂ 245-115-37-20 wt: 67 - 4300 ft. ✓ 158 Citellus ♀ 400-150-56-26 wt: 500 3900 ft. after spending the day yesterday running around the basin, we finally found this camping grounds. We are at the Soda Springs on Nick Williams' property in Thompson canyon, which is on the north side of the basin. We got up early this morning, fixed up our camp, hunted and set out traps. Ray Gilmore collected my specimens, 155, 156 157, & 158. 153, a big black lizard, I shot. (1) I set out 20 mouse traps amongst the sage on a sandy flat at the bottom of the canyon, elevation 3400 feet. (2) I set 10 mouse traps in the sage near this camp. (3) 2 rat traps in trees near camp for pack rat. (4) 15 mouse traps among rocks near camp, (5) and 10 mouse traps along the stream bottom near camp. (6) 5 traps I set in tall weeds next to camp.
