Kaye - 1933. Santa Cruz, Calif., Dec. 9, 1933. in Walker Basin also. 28. Brush rabbit: Taken in Thompson Canyon, French Gulch and Kelsoe valley. Restricted in habitat to brushy hillslopes and brushy stream bottoms. Reported on fair authority from Cabinte. 29. Jack rabbit: Taken from Thompson Canyon and Kelsoe valley. 30. Eutamias merriami: Taken in Thompson Canyon, French Gulch, and Kelsoe valley. Occurs among rocks chiefly, preferably in bushy areas. 31. Eutamias quadrivittatus: Taken only from French Gulch. Occurs only among the firs at elevations of over 7000 feet. 32. Citellus beecheii: Taken in Thompson Canyon and French Gulch. Seen at other camps; occurring in most all habitats. 33. Flying squirrels, ring tail cat, douglas tree squirrel, golden mantled ground squirrel - no report. 34. Ammospermophilus: Taken only in Kelsoe valley. Occurs both
