(aye - 1933. (33 Santa Cruz, Calif. Dec. 9, 1933.— 20. Coon: Occasionally reported, no proof. Transient. 21. Opossum: No sure reports. Once animal reported which may have been an opossum. If so, probably transient. 22. Bear: Often taken by trappers and hunters, tracks common in the Pintos. Apparently the brown bear - no grizzlies reported. 23. Mountain Lion: One reported with undoubted authority from mountain slopes facing Kelso valley. 24. Wolf: Two reported from Kelso valley - Pinto mts. Doubtful authority. No proof. 25. Badger: Signs in Walker Basin and Kelso valley. Reported fairly plentiful in Walker Basin last year. 26. Weasel: Reported on fairly good authority, plentiful during the harvest season in Walker Basin. 27. Cotton tails Taken in Thompson canyon and Kelso valley. Seen
