Kaye - 1933 Santa Cruz, Calif. - Dec. 9th '33. sandy & rocky hillslopes. 6. Perognathus inornatus: Two species specimens only taken. Those from Walker Basin, on open sandy flats, little or no vegetation. 7. Reithrodontomy's: Taken at Thompson Canyon and Rambies. Occurring only in tall grass, not too far from water. 8. Microtus (kernensis (?) : Taken at Thompson Canyon, Walker Basin and Rambies - and French Gulch. Occurring in short or tall grass, always near water or damp places. 9. Thomomys: Taken at all camps. Fossorial occurring in all kinds of soils and in all types of hab- itats. 10. Dipodomys agilis: Taken at Thompson Canyon, Walker Basin, and Kelso Valley. Found mostly in sandy bushy areas. 11. Dipodomys mohavensis: Taken only in Kelso Valley. Occurs chiefly in among the Joshua of the valley proper. 12. Neotoma fuscipes: Taken at Thomp-
