1933. Rankin Ranch -- Walker Basin. -- Nov. 16, 1933. -- 367 Neotoma fuscipes (R.N.G.) & wt: 186 377-190-36-31 368 Peromyscus boylei (R.N.G.) & wt: 26 202-103-21-20 369 Horned lark wt: 30 ad. 370 Horned lark & wt: 27 od. The first two days were so good we couldn't hardly expect the follow- ing days to be so good. Today was not good, not bad. I got only two microtus in my traps. Ray cought 2 neotoma, and some permyscus, including truei and boylei. I shot three horned larks, one house wren, one brewer blackbird and one willow woodpecker from open field, orchard, marsh, and willows respectively. This evening I caught one mole from a series of fur sets I made this morning in the same field from which Ray took his. I have scouted the surrounding country fairly well but have found no good perognathus signs, tho I set out ten traps tonight in doubtful perognathus country. Ray has 6 stud sets down the canyon, but reports no earworts.
