Firstly from my traps I caught three reithros, two shrews, one microtus, one peromyscus, and two gophers. The whole catch with the exception of the gophers came from the one patch of grass at the marsh's edge. I had a peculiar bird hunt. First after considerable difficulty I took two virginia rails from the tule. The strange catch was the two slender billed nuthatches I shot from a wil-low overhanging the marsh. also c!
