I had another bad morning: I didn't catch anything in my steel traps. Out of six gopher sets I made in the meadow last night I caught 3 gophers this morning. I caught one microtus, and an amovensis in my meadow-creek line. I caught one eutamias meriamii, up the west canyon in the rocks, and one perom yscus boylii & one smovensis in the gins up the west canyon. I shot two more eutamias meriamis, and a golden-crowned kinglet in the west ridge. From the lower meadows I shot a hermit thrush, a spotted towhee and pygmy nuthatch. I shot a gray squirrel here at camp from the top of a pine, but couldn't find him.
