1933 42 S Side Thompson Canyon, 3500', Walker Basin, Kern Co., Calif. Oct. 10, 1933. Last night I set 10 traps in tall grass next to our tent and caught 3 pers. m.s. and one with. m. I set one rat trap in the barn and caught one kangaroo rat. I set 1 rat trap at the foot of a tree in which there was a pack rat nest, and cought one pack rat. I set 28 traps at random in fields of rabbit brush scattered with rock outcrops.
