Lyons 1939 Frigat Bird pg b June 26 - P.M. - Wake feet after fall checked. About 100 (Flying) adults in one group seen did not come down very close when I investigated the young. Not a single one seen chasing a booby or boin bird while I was on Wake. A big variation in plunge phase - all black rusty Mottled breasts, white breasts from a little white on breast to white from anal region to and including head & neck. Jne 29 - 4 P.M. Wilker - See Blue faced booby uly 18 - Haven't seen a frigate steal a fish yet - Wake, A.M. east end (25) of young about one out of down stage, the one was still helpless parent stayed till I was within 15 ft. all black (a mullet) deep, six to twelve inches. 2 birds were hooked securely (not purposely) and brought into the launch one remained in air all time, pulled out line.
