June 26 - P.M. Wake - Many Frigate birds seen - lots of immature birds but only 5, in one tree, could not fly yet. Still a bit dowdy - rusty on top of head. One disgorged a mass of sandrine 2" diam. 5" long. Red footed & blue faced Boobies in same tree (Pearlike). On being harassed & falling one of the young checked his fall by hooking a branch with his outstretched beak - neck outstretched and wings also slanted back triangular support effect, worked with and brought into the launch! One remained in all time, pulled out line. Bird prepared by Harry Sweetser.
