June 9 1939 8:40 Peal - Flock of 60, by Court
at chicken feed storage shed. One
had light sandy colored primaries, stuck
out 3/4 inch beyond secondaries, fairly
conspicuous - Sp has much personality
Very serious business like little birds
June 13 1939 4:30 Peal - In clearing by
transmitter east of hotel, an adult & a
young bird, end of down stage, adult
left young, which moved straight away
from my approach & into cover (bush).
The adult circled around, sto cocking
only slightly, to 30 ft from where
left young

chick in the chicken yard, wobbled,
black down, no adult in sight
on retained - custom & butt were set on the
net on which the bird remained.
