Species seen and approx number 1 Black footed albatross - fewer than last, nesting margin of beach, eggs 2 Laysan albatross - nesting in colonies, eggs 2% hatched 3 Brown booby - 5 4 Frigate bird - 3 5 Sharp tailed sandpiper - 2 6 Turnstone - 2 flocks of 100 each on beach 7 Sandpiling - 2 8 Breastled thiged curlew - 5 9 Golden plovel - 10, feeding on wave washed beach 10 Wandering tatler - one 11 Love tern - 10 12 Hawaiian tern - 12 13 Petrel - at dusk, air filled with them
