ons /1939 Snowy Tern June 9, 8:40 Peal is Crossroads East end of new Hydropneum. One bird hovered over me, I paused & looked about for a nest, in about 30 seconds there were 7 birds hovering around. 8:55 the sp very curious, & came & hovered over me as I wrote these notes - In front of Coral Pebble, utter a weak squeak occasionally June 22, Peal - was pruning tree (TurneFortia) Betw Hotel & Airport Mgr's house Terns flew out very excited, a third came, was driven off. Egg on limb 2 1/2" diam Birds soon quieted and one settled on the egg while I pruned the tree - 8' away. June 25 - Peal - above egg hatched today ± one day July /8- Peal & Wake AM many seen on both islands but not as abundant on Wake
