Longhurst 1939 Itinerary July 12 Twin Buttes, Skamania Co., Wash. Peromyscus maniculatus 1 ♂ 4 ♀ Clethrionomys gapperi 1 ♀ Zapus sp? 2 ♂ Sorex 1 ♂ 1 ♀ Sorex S. bendirii 1 ♂ The Peromyscus, Clethrionomys, and one Sorex were caught on rather open forest floor in heavy timber. The other Sorex, the Sorex bendirii, and one Zapus were caught along a stream in heavy undergrowth. The other Zapus was caught in heavy undergrowth away from the stream and near a large windfall. One Bufo boreas was also caught near the windfall. A large number of Bufo boreas, Rana boylii, and Hyla regilla were caught in this same locality about a small wet meadow on July 10. July 13 Twin Buttes, Skamania Co., Wash. Yesterday afternoon Chattin and I went deer hunting. We started about 3:00 PM and hunted the N slope of W. Twin Butte across a burn and into heavy timber to the NW of Mosquito Lakes. There we separated and soon afterward I jumped a very large buck with a wide set of antlers, well developed but still in velvet. Because of the heavy timber
