T Summary
Nov. 26 Hinchica Cr., 200 ft. Napa Co. Calif.
For the last four days I have laid out
5 sets of #2 steel traps in a small
canyon west of Hinchica Cr. They were
baited with parts of jack rabbit. On
the nights of the 23rd & 24th bait was
taken from two of the sets and on
the night of the 25th a raccoon
was caught, but it managed to
pull out leaving behind one toe
and considerable hair. Also one
? Urocyn cinereogentus townsendii
was caught. The locality was
2 mi. W Carnes, 300 ft. Napa Co., Calif.
This act was made in the bottom
of the canyon beneath a manzanita
bush and among scattering live oaks,
and blue oaks.
On the evening of the 23rd one
or Sarcinus brealis was shot along
the Cr. On Nov. 24 I drove to
the Pacific Union College at Angwin
and was shown through their
collections by Don Hemphill a
former student there, now
attending U.C.
