Itinerary
Nov 4 Huichica Cr., 200 ft.
Adenostema fasciculatum fasciculatum;
one set at the edge of a growth
of Adenostema fasciculatum and beneath
Arctostaphylos bushes. All sets
except the one at the mouth of the
den were pen sets baited with
parts of jack rabbit. The catch
was -
Mephitis occidentalis 2 Ψ
Spilogale gracilis 2 δ
One Mephitis was caught at the
mouth of the den & one at the bottom
of the wash nearby. One Spilogale was
crossed off caught at X set along the Cr. & one
beside the chaparral.
Four other sets were made in
the salt marshes with the intention of
catching minks. E side Napa R., 1/2 mi. S
Cuttings Wharf, Napa Co., Calif. The
sets were made at the head of small
tide sloughs where the mink had
made runs and were baited with
black birds. None were caught.

Two sets of gopher traps were made
this afternoon in a plowed field beside
