Longhurst 1434 Itinerary Sept 22 Huichica Cr. apart along the Cr. where the canyon begins to get narrow. This is a typical riparian - shady live oak habitat. The catch Sept 23 Huichica Cr. The catch was: Peromyscus maniculatus 7 ♀ 5 ♂ Sorex 1 ♂ All were caught along the Cr. Traps were set mostly at the bases of large, live oak & bay trees at the water's edge. Last evening I shot 2 bats in an open field beside the Cr. Eptesicus 1 ♂ Tadarida 1 ♂ This evening at the same place I shot 3 more. Antrozous 1 ♀ Myotis californicus Sept 30 Mt. Veeder, 2400 ft., Napa Co., Calif. This afternoon I drove from Berkeley to my home on Huichica Cr., gathered up some collecting equipment, and continued on to Mt. Veeder.
