Longhurst 1934 Microtus Sp? Aug 16 Baker Cr., 11,100 ft., White Pine Co., Nevada One or mdw. mouse was taken here. It was caught at the edge of the Cr. in a high growth of Carex where the Cr. flowed through a small marshy mdw. These mice do not seem to be very abundant about here. In the first place their habitat would be very restricted as the high grass and marshy mdws along the Cr. are very few and even in such places there is no evidence of their runways or burrows. Alcorn and myself had 200 trap nights in this area and only 4 were taken.
