Longhurst 1939 Aug.16 Sorex Sp. Baker Cr., 11,100 ft. White Pine Co., Nevada Two of these small brown shrews were taken at the above locality. They were taken with oatmeal in traps set along the edge of the Cr. where it flowed swiftly through a marshy mdo, covered by Sorex sp.? and moss. The feces of either these shrews or of water shrews was frequently found on rocks at the water's edge.
