Longhunt Itinerary Aug.14 Baker Cr., 11,100 ft. although they do not ordinarily range so high and their tracks are usually found only crossing the divides. Most of the sign was found in areas where the ground was smoother and not covered by large rocks and where numerous small grasses and arctic alpine plants grew. Last evening I set 25 mouse traps baited with oat meal along Baker Cr. and in a small marshy mdw. near camp. The catch was: Sorex palustris 14 Sorex sp ? Microtus sp ? The Sorex palustris and the Microtus were caught at the edge of the Cr. and the other Sorex was caught in the mdw. Aug.15 Baker Cr., 11,100 ft. yesterday Alcorn and I hunted above Ticaming Lake. I circled the ridge SW of the lake and Alcorn hunted NE of the lake and we met on the peaks NW of the lake. According to the barometer this
