Longhurst 1934 Itinerary Longhurst Ranch, 200 ft. Aug. 7 Box 5600, Sonoma Highway, Napa - 7 mi W Napa on Sonoma Hwy. This afternoon I left MVZ with a Reo truck (No. 127) and a load of camping and collecting equipment. I drove to my home near Napa where I am spending the night and will continue on to Fallon Nevada tomorrow to meet Roy Alcorn for a collecting trip through Nevada. Aug. 8. Alcorn Ranch, 4 mi. W Fallon, Churchill Co., Nevada This morning I left my home on the Sonoma Hwy. Napa and drove to Napa where I spent some time purchasing supplies for the trip. About 11:30 A.M. I started for Fallon, Nevada. I traveled by way of Sacramento, Truckee, and Reno and finally arrived at Fallon about 9:00 P.M. Very little wildlife was seen along the way except a few Entanias sp.? Citellus lateralis and two Citellus beechii. All were seen in the Sierras between Colfax and Truckee. The latter were noted in the vicinity of Yuba Pass. Aug. 9 Kingston Canyon, 7000 ft., Lander Co., Nevada This morning Roy Alcorn and I left his home near Fallon and traveled E. We stopped at Fallon for supplies and then continued on to Austin.
